If current goes through a lake, are the current spots on deep edges better?

Awesome on ice live well. Do you catch any walleyes while catching the eel pout? I always used to catch them at night on Pokegama and Winnebago when I lived in Wisconsin. Leech is very well populated with pout. Have you ice fished the pout out there?
